100mL liquid culture expansion bottle + vent

100 mL of sterile nutrient solution with butyl rubber injection port. Suitable for the culture of fungi, yeasts etc.. Provided with air venting kit (sterile), parafilm, alcowipes and all necessary equipment for extracting solution (10 x 10 mL, sterile). Venting kit allows the culture to breathe and equalises pressure meaning the system can be used for long term storage and growth of cultures (dependent on the skill of the operator). Inject with small amount (1-2mL) of culture suspension or spore solution and keep at correct temperature. After 1-2 weeks you will have 100x more actively growing culture. Once growing you can shake and withdraw a sample and store remaining solution in the fridge indefinitely (nutrients will eventually run out, but you can transfer culture to another bottle). N.B. A small amount of precipitate may be visible in the bottle. This is normal and will normally dissolve on shaking.
